NBa 2k13 Blake Griffin Interview – Talks about his 87 rating

Personally I feel a rating of 87 is a little on the high side for Blake Griffin.  I mean when it all boils down to it, Blake can dunk and he can rebound not much beyond that.  His shot is mediocre at best, his passing is non existent (237 fir the year, he had more fouls than assist), and his defense is meh.  But Blake seem to think otherwise.  See the video about Blake Griffins perception on his 87 rating.

I gotta disagree with you on Blake Griffin passing ability. I have watched majority of the Clippers games and Griffin is actually a pretty underrated passer at times, he’s one of the best ball handling big men in the league. Don’t really care about the fouls to assist ratio, has nothing to do with the video game.

Best Passing big men in the league? I would have to disagree, don’t get me wrong Griffin is talented I don’t want that be mis-understood, he is one of the most electrifying individuals in the league. Passing I agree is debate-able, but ball handling nooo way should that and blake griffin go hand in hand (pardon the pun).

Blake Griffin is a very underrated ball handler for some reason. I have watched enough of Clippers games to know that.

I didn’t say he was the best, I say he’s one of the best.
If I had to choose someone to be #1. It’ll be a guy who played pretty terrible last year: Lamar Odom.

I just don’t agree with the whole comment ‘his passing is non existent (237 fir the year, he had more fouls than assist),’

Because his passing was existent and if anyone watched some Clippers game they would that’s not true. The fouls has nothing to do with a 2k12 rating.
I agree about his defense though. If that improves, it’ll make him a better player although his main goal should definitely be trying to get better in the post. I don’t think he needs to become a great shooter, be like Kevin Love. He can still get his dunks and learn some moves in the post and defense would just be an extra.

His rookie season, he got injured. His first official season [2010-2011] was the only full season he played seeing as how his second season [2011-2012] was a lock out condensed season. So I think he’s done pretty good thus far.

Ok, I’m with Tia on the underrated passer thing. I’ll buy that, but great passer? obviously you’re too easily impressed. if you want to see great passing big man check out joakim Noah or Greg Monroe. they are excellent passing big men. I have seen Blake make good passes at times. the truth is, despite the fact that he might be an underrated passer, he is on a team where he simply doesn’t have to pass. that job Falls squarely on Chris Paul’s shoulders.

but I do agree, 87 is kind of a high rating for Blake Griffin. personally I think he’s more like an 84 or 85 still. he doesn’t have a great all around game just graded dunking the ball in rebounding and occasionally blocking shots. he has improved his midrange jump shot though. still doesn’t make him an 87 in my opinion
