A student lost £4,400 this week when he decided to lump his entire student loan on Angola beating Mali in the African Cup of Nations.At the time of the bet Angola were cruising at 4-0 up with just 10 minutes to go, but the unthinkable happened and Mali scored 4 goals at the death to grab a remarkable 4-4 draw.The odds on offer on Betfair were so ridiculous that the student only stood to make £44 back from the wager.The student posted details of the bet on FMV is for Victory Forum and received the following sympathetic responses:

“HAHAHAHAHA”…
Oooook if I was in this kids shoes I would probably be thinking hell ya this is drinking money. But on the other hand am thinking if by some freak occurrence they do not win, how am i going to explain to my parents that I bet 4, 400 to win 44. I mean am not a gambling man but if i was it almost seems as though the time it takes to expend the energy to get all that money together have it counted then have the wage placed. I don’t even thing the time/salary of the people involved are worth £44. But hey maybe am wrong. Honestly I watched the video below…and I think the soccer god teamed up with the gambling god just to teach this kid a lesson. I watched the video and and I really think they where against him, thats the only way something like this could happen.
