10 Years

To think the 2k franchise has come this far is unbelievable. Prior to 2ksports the only thing that everyone knew was EA Sports. To come so far in 10 years I have to take my hat off to the franchise. It’s amazing what they have done for basketball simulation games. I am sure the true basketball enthusiasts and lovers alike can remember the days of NBA Live. WOW! They were the kings (look how the mighty have fallen); it was basically you had NBA live or nothing when it came to basketball (with the exception of the adventurous crew who dabbled in the Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside). But now look at it, true basketball fans can really appreciate the changes that have been made in this blaze of ten years.

First and foremost I got to say the whole 2K team addition to NBA 2K9 was nothing but spectacular. How many people haven’t dreamed of being immortalized in a video game? For most of us the only way to make that dream come to fruition was either make the NBA or make the closest thing to us in that create player mode. But last year even the athletically challenged now could be the greatest player of all time. I know sure as hell if was one of the 2K Team (nope I didn’t make the list) I was dropping at least 81 each game with maybe 2 assists. I would be beasting on fools. But needless to say I had a job, so making that list definitely wasn’t gonna happen last year. But let me take this opportunity to say congratulations to those guys. I must add though my pride and a little bit of jealousy won’t allow me to use any of you guys.

But NBA 2k10 is already off to a great start. Can somebody say Draft Combine? This is genius. I get to bring my skill up to par a couple months before the game actually come out. I know you all hate the whole 2 week adjustment period that it takes to get used to the new movement and controls. While I haven’t downloaded the full version (given my cash flow problems) the demo has been phenomenal. It’s like that feeling you get when you moms cooking the kitchen and she gives you a little spoon full of what’s in the pot. You develop the crazy hunger for more and become crazily impatient. Well that where am at, I am actually thinking about blowing lunch tomorrow and purchasing the full draft combine. But we’ll see how that one turns out around lunchtime tomorrow.

To be hones I can’t wait. 2K we want more than spoon gives us at least an appetizer until the main course reaches. Where is my 2K10 demo???
